This is an exciting opportunity for a therapist to lead an established critical care follow-up service across the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust acute sites. You will be providing therapy led interventions for patients, liaising with MDT colleagues and aiming to improve the quality of life for those admitted to critical care.
This role is open to any relevant therapist who have experience of working within critical are and the associated problems and issues patient present with following prolonged critical illness. You will provide comprehensive assessments for patients and liaise with relevant community and acute services to plan individual patient plans.
The post holder will be responsible for the running and evaluation of post ICU follow-up service for patients with prolonged admission to critical care. As a Band 7 Specialist Therapist the post holder will be responsible for performing advance assessment for patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme. Following assessment the post holder will be responsible for making clinical diagnoses and treating your own caseload of specialised and complex patients/clients & maintaining associated records.
The post holder may lead a team and be responsible for providing an advanced standard of care to patients at Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, which cover a multi-cultural and diverse population. The post holder will assist the service lead therapist in contributing to the planning, coordination, development and evaluation of the service. Together with other senior staff, you will act as a resource of specialist advice to the rest of the therapy service and other professions.
