This permanent role has a starting salary of £34,356 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.
Our team operates in a flexible, hybrid style with a combination of office and home working – or wherever you feel most productive.
We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Transport Safeguarding Officer to join our fantastic Contracts and Controls team. We will ensure that you receive a full induction and training with regular guidance, support and performance conversations with your Team Leader; we want you to feel confident and capable in your role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will report into the Travel & Assessment Contracts Manager and be one of 6 Officers within the team.
As a first point of contact for service providers and stakeholders, the work you do will be vital. You will provide a high quality service and be responsible for assessing the suitability of transport personnel, manage the authorise clearance process, and manage and investigate any safeguarding concerns to protect clients transported on the Council’s contracts.
Please note this role is community centric and will require regular travel to visit schools/operators within the community. Therefore you must have the ability and willingness to travel around the county to meet the demands of the role.
