ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our Supply Chain in this newly created position – reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain. You will identify areas of opportunity across Bridgestone’s Australia and New Zealand operations to improve our transport and customer service strategy. This includes the full scope of ‘wharf to warehouse to customer’, reverse logistics and manufacturing transport.
You will support systems and processes to identify opportunities to improve services, reduce costs and act on trends and feedback opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
Monitor agreed and best in class KPI’s to identify improvements and make recommendations, provide transport solutions to remedy performance limitations and maintain contractual agreements to meet service requirements in this pivotal role.
You will work closely with all Australia and New Zealand team members, providing ongoing support and service solutions for all key stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employ tools and strategies to review our transportation services and support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Support warehousing and logistics improvement projects
- Plan, organise and attend KPI meetings with our suppliers
- Review and assess transport rate reviews and manage and administer quarterly rate increases to contracts
- Identify opportunities for improved services, assist with third party contract creation including recommending parameters, and maintain established contracts
- Lead tender activities in conjunction with our procurement team to ensure our transport operations are effective and ongoing
