Description:

Under the supervision of the Office Chief in the Division of Traffic Operations, a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent will provide expertise in highway engineering and traffic operations as a member of the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) by working directly with the CHP at its location in Vallejo, CA.
The Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team investigates serious crashes or incidents on the surface transportation system. The incumbent will also receive specific direction from the MAIT sergeant, who will manage daily field tasks and assist on traffic management and safety matters as required.
The incumbent must possess a valid California Professional Engineering License (CIVIL) in order to perform their duties.
