Job Description

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL A DAY IN THIS ROLE LOOK LIKE:

  • Applying your technical knowledge and practical skills for transport projects with our diverse local clients including councils, Wellington airport, Rail and Waka Kotahi
  • Opportunities to work across our project teams in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Transport design, signaling plans and transport and traffic impact assessments.
  • Collaborating with and supporting our National Safe Systems Lead based in Wellington.
  • Working across all modes of transport and with the opportunity to specialise in a variety of fields.
  • Being agile working with, or applying the outputs from transport modelling tools such as AIMSUN , transport and traffic engineering tools including SIDRA and LinSig and databases such as the Crash Analysis System.
    Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

  • 5+ years professional experience in the transportation industry
  • Preferably a chartered or professional member of relevant professional body or working toward professional registration with EngNZ or an equivalent professional body.
  • Engineering Degree or similar discipline
  • It would be desirable to be well versed in Waka Kotahi business case requirements.
  • Experienced in the use of software such as SIDRA and LinSig, CAD, GIS, and transport modelling packages such as AIMSUN.
  • Sound knowledge and experience using relevant Microsoft Office packages, highly regarded would be proficiency in the use of PowerB
