• As one of the most exciting and technically challenging areas in the bank’s finance function, we are seeking candidates with experience working in either big four audit firms or large corporate finance functions and have had exposure to Treasury and / or Financial Markets activities and derivative products.
• You will have a strong understanding of general accounting concepts, good numerical reasoning skills and a proactive attitude with a track record of finding new and better ways of doing things.
• A CA qualification (or nearing completion) would be beneficial.

TE TŪRANGA | THE ROLE:

As Senior Treasury Accountant - Treasury Partnering, you will report to the Senior Manager - Treasury Accounting, however you will be involved in all aspects of finance support of the Treasury operations of ASB. This includes accounting, reporting, analysis, commentary and regulatory reporting.
You will develop a deeper understanding into how the Bank manages its financial risks, and how these activities impact the Bank’s balance sheet and P&L. The primary focus of this role will be supporting the treasury team and the reporting and production of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual Group, Statutory and Regulatory disclosures also involving treasury and financial markets instruments.
As part of an energetic and supportive team, you will engage and build relationships with other areas of the business, contribute to the continual enhancement of the financial control environment, and become a trusted advisor on core financial information under your responsibility.
