POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tunnelling Engineer fluent in German to join our client’s esteemed team in Hamburg. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of major infrastructure projects across Germany, with a predominant focus on tunneling. Leveraging extensive experience and expertise in tunnelling engineering, you will lead and contribute to the successful execution of complex projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in tunneling engineering, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in German (both written and spoken) is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of tunneling methods, including NATM, TBM, and cut-and-cover techniques.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and soil mechanics.
- Experience with relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and PLAXIS.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
