Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience (5+ years) with the Unreal Engine through coding in C++, creating and editing blueprints, and using the Unreal Editor
- Experience in professional game development shipping multiple AAA titles, ideally with Unreal Engine
- Excellent C++ skills, with an aptitude for architecting fun and innovative game systems
- Strong creative problem-solving, math and analytical skills
- A strong understanding of the state of the art in game design and interactivity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong initiative, with the ability to drive cross-discipline efforts
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field

Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Unreal Generalist Programmer at Humanoid, you will work closely with other programmers and the Humanoid team to harness the power of Unreal and build our fun and innovative flagship title. You will create and modify our various game systems, writing powerful and efficient blueprints and code while helping to guide our team to do the same. The role involves close collaboration with other disciplines to shape the vision of the project, as you integrate our game systems into Unreal and iterate towards a cohesive overall experience.
This role can be performed remotely throughout North America or in-office either in BC or Alberta, as part of our flexible location model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write clean, robust, efficient, and reliable code and blueprints
- Code optimizations and bug fixing
- Participate in code reviews and other efforts to ensure code is written to a high professional standard
- Help guide other programmers and tech experts in Unreal and C++
- Develop game systems and iterate based on constructive feedback
- Participate in game system design discussions and contribute valuable ideas to all aspects of the project
- Collaborate with other development disciplines to integrate game systems
