Senior UX Designer

A leading e-commerce and tech enterprise is seeking a mobile-savvy UX designer to lead innovating new products and experiences from conception to market. This role offers a unique chance to lead new strategic initiatives across various devices, including TV, mobile, retail web, and other cutting-edge platforms. We’re in search of someone with deep expertise in design strategy, emerging technology, lean UX, and a refined visual aesthetic. This position is ideal for individuals looking to join a design team in its early stages of crafting fun and groundbreaking products, while leveraging their expertise in best practices and potential challenges. As part of this role, you’ll design user experiences that translate complex workflows into intuitive UIs, delighting our users throughout the entire process, from concept development to delivery and success measurement.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote (PST hours)
Pay Rate: $50-56/hour
Hours: 40 hours/week

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), visual communication, or equivalent professional experience.
8 years of professional work experience in UX design, interaction design, brand design, or similar roles.
Online portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions, product design innovation, and scalable user-friendly design solutions across multiple platforms.
Proficiency in design and prototype tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Principle, Framer, and the Adobe Creative Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to gather, synthesize, and respond to feedback from team leads, product leads, and engineering leads.
Experience designing user interfaces for mobile devices.
Experience in developing a design language and system that integrates visuals, motion, and sound.
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently when necessary.
Fluency in best practices for mobile and web-based information architecture and design, along with a solid understanding of usability principles and techniques.

Develop elegant and intuitive user experiences by integrating user insights, business requirements, and technical constraints.
Lead the design planning and strategic phases of projects, proactively pitching new CX ideas supported by compelling rationale.
Rapidly create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups with detailed visual design specifications for both web and mobile interfaces.
Independently deliver design solutions for complex problems, adapting approaches to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Champion user-centered design principles by conducting user testing and iterating on solutions accordingly.
Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership.
Contribute to design team principles, libraries, and development best practices.
Foster relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency in Appstore projects.
