Description:
My client are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join them on a 12 month contract working on a large scale Government project. This is a long-term day rate contract with a view of being extended or becoming permanent for the right candidate.
BASELINE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE IS MANDATORY
My client are currently seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of user experiences within the public sector, with a focus on projects in Canberra, Melbourne, or Sydney.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, Lead and oversee user research activities, including planning, conducting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research studies to uncover user behaviors, needs, motivations, and pain points.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to ensure research objectives align with project goals and inform the design and development of user-centered solutions.
- Define research strategies, methodologies, and frameworks tailored to specific project needs, utilizing a range of techniques such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies.
- Synthesize and analyze research findings, translating them into actionable insights and recommendations that drive informed design decisions and business outcomes.
- Create comprehensive research deliverables, including personas, journey maps, and user profiles, to effectively communicate research insights and foster empathy within the team and with stakeholders.
- Lead workshops, design sprints, and co-creation sessions to facilitate collaboration, ideation, and validation of design concepts with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging methodologies, and best practices in user research, and champion their adoption within the organization to continuously elevate research capabilities.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, providing support and fostering their growth and development within the team.
