Waracle is looking for a Senior Designer to join our team on a fixed term contract basis (6 months).
The Senior Designer will be based from any of our offices (Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London) in a hybrid working pattern.
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate workshops and design sprints to generate and prioritise ideas for features and functionalities.
- Collaborate closely with the client, product managers, and the tech team to define and validate the product idea through a series of standard UX research and design steps.
- Develop wireframes, storyboards, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Drive the design process, including product, service, and experience design, in collaboration with technical teams.
- Create personas, customer journeys and user stories to guide product design decisions.
- Craft engaging and seamless user interfaces that adhere to accessibility, useability and discoverability standards
- Ensure smooth execution of projects within an Agile environment, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential.
- Extensive experience in design strategy, developing innovative approaches to product development and user experience.
- In-depth understanding of the product development lifecycle and design methodologies.
- Proficiency in popular design tools, such as Figma.
- Significant experience in creating creative UI solutions for native apps, responsive websites, or mobile sites in a commercial setting.
- Experience in Financial Services or similarly regulated environments is advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong communication abilities.
- Understanding of agile principles and their application to complex environments and teams to develop effective solutions.
