Description:

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior UI/UX Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico. Our client is a technology company focusing on edge computing infrastructure, aiming to improve the efficiency and performance of distributed networks. A distributed edge cloud platform that combines colocation, networking, and interconnection services to deliver low-latency applications and services closer to end users. This interconnection platform allows for the direct and secure traffic exchange between networks and cloud providers at the edge. They provide colocation facilities explicitly designed for edge computing, offering space, power, and cooling for edge servers. High-speed, low-latency network services are designed to support edge computing applications, including 5G, IoT, and real-time data processing. The company has corporate headquarters in Austin, TX, and about one-third of the team works there, but most of the team is highly distributed. The client stands at the forefront of the AI revolution, delivering ultra-fast AI and private 5G solutions across its distributed edge locations. Their AI platform offers Network-Delivered AI services in 36 major U.S. markets. This solution utilizes infrastructure, Supermicro’s AI-optimized servers, and NVIDIA’s groundbreaking AI silicon to offer on-demand AI services in top U.S. markets.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in full-stack engineering focusing on public-facing APIs and web applications.
  • Knowledge of MVC and/or MVVM: React. AngularJS, Ember, Backbone.
  • Knowledge with CSS Preprocessors: Sass, Less.js.
  • Understanding client-side package managers and task runners, such as Gulp, Grunt, Bower, npm, Webpack, etc.
  • Strong Understanding of HTML/JS/CSS.
  • Working knowledge of datastores: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.
  • Familiarity with Application Authentication (OAuth).
  • Experience in automated testing.
  • Experience with cloud messaging APIs and usage of push notifications.
  • Experience with Linux and container technologies, specifically Docker & Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles such as color schemes, typography, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience with online communication tools like Jira, Slack, and Google Hangouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a champion for application quality and ensure acceptable responsiveness and scalability of developed applications targeted for production deployments.
  • Work collaboratively across teams of designers and other developers.

Will be a plus:

  • Experience with Salesforce integration, knowledge of modern distributed system architectures, data center operations experience, and deploying and maintaining highly available production services at scale is a huge plus.
