The goal of the Senior Value Access & Pricing Manager is to lead accelerated, broad market and patient access for Incyte’s key brands in Italy, contributing to unlock the full value of both the Company and its products. This is done by communicating effectively the innovative values of the Company to the patients, to the Regional Health Service and to the community as a whole.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Postgraduate level (master or higher) training in economics or an analytical commercial discipline.
  • At least 5-year experience in the national market in health economics and reimbursement in the areas of oncology, hematology or other complex treatments.
  • Successful experience in the launch of new products.
  • Preferably, prior experience in achieving positive HTA outcomes and/or experience in direct negotiation with local health authorities, reimbursement agencies, hospital administrators and health care insurance companies.
  • In-depth understanding of payers and their perspective in the local market as well as trends in Pricing & Reimbursement.
  • Very good knowledge of the Italian healthcare system.
  • Strong influencing/negotiation skills and ability to work at peer-level with experienced experts in other departments.
  • Excellent strategic and analytical skills with a systematic, exact and independent working style.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex or technical content in a convincing way to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent business English skills, with first-rate communication abilities in the local language.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the National Price & Reimbursement Dossier, in order to define the product value from a pharma-economic perspective and to ensure early market access within the target price and with the best reimbursement conditions for patients;
  • Identify Real World Evidence (RWE) needs to establish and document the full value proposition and develop Health Outcomes, aligned with Integrated Evidence Generation Process;
  • Maximize value from regional dossiers of Incyte products, in order to rapidly achieve local patient access (PTO/R) and positioning (PDTA/ Guidelines);
  • Lead the cross functional team (Field Market Access, Medical, Marketing & Sales) to secure a timely Italian Regional Access and formulary inclusion for Incyte’s products
  • Support the Regional Affairs Manager (RAM) to make their activities more effectively and lean approach oriented.
  • Manage relationships with European Regional Market Access colleagues, to ensure the timely acknowledgment of local inputs, collaborate on local and EU strategy development, as well as the alignment between the pricing strategies and corporate guidelines;
  • Develop value and access strategy to unlock the full value of a new products or indications;
  • Identify in a timely manner the inputs relevant in the definition of MA strategies and an effective action plans design;
  • Prepare the annual Brand Value Proposition and Market Access Plan, to guarantee the optimal positioning of the brand in compliance with regulations;
  • Timely end effectively manage initiatives and projects that contribute to document and establish full product value, to obtain early market access for new products and to maintain those in the market, in compliance with local regulations;
  • Attend cross-functional teams, to gather business inputs and needs and translate them into MA activities able to successfully address those needs;
  • Work together with field functions to interact with regional stakeholders, define action plans for an optimal MA and positioning and delivering payers value story
