Description:

This senior leader will play not only the role of Marketing Client Partner oversight for the Calgary team and its portfolio, but also act as an office culture-builder and senior communicator with all team members across disciplines in this office. The role will actively source new business in Western Canada and potentially into the US. This person must be an expert in marketing, but also highly proficient and comfortable in PR, consulting and communications in general. This role will be a senior advisor to clients, and will play an active day-to-day role in the management and oversight of all marketing/advertising work related to this portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the senior client leader on a portfolio of business: providing strategic guidance, stewarding client relationships, managing budgets and forecasting, managing a team of Client Partner (account) team members, working collaboratively with cross-functional team members, and being accountable for overall financial growth and health of the business
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members (e.g. strategy, creative, media, digital, social, etc.) to deliver the highest quality recommendations, outputs and outcomes
  • Actively develop new business (and has a proven track record in this): take the lead on RFP writing, lead pitches, and proactively mine for new business – not only for marketing, but for the agency as a whole (i.e. see opportunities for clients where we can add value as a whole, not just for one discipline)
  • Manage a team of Client Partner marketing individuals to mentor and grow them, providing day-to-day guidance, oversight and coaching on a high standard of deliverables. Will also managing hiring as required and will make recommendations for structure to deliver the best quality and efficiency of the team and for the client needs.
  • Leads integrated businesses: is highly comfortable with all mediums (from strategy to concept to production), and has experience on national accounts with high profile
  • Work very closely with other senior team members to sell our integrated offering, taking the time to fully understand our competencies and skillsets
  • Being a senior member of the Calgary office, this role will play a critical part in overall office cohesion, morale, communication and leadership
