We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Digital Platforms Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the digital portfolio and investment strategy to support WPB Singapore’s growth ambitions across all lines of business
  • Manage the annual technology budgeting cycle, ensuring digital capabilities are prioritized to support WPB key strategic outcomes with a focus on customer and commercial outcomes, while also accommodating regulatory and compliance requirements and run the bank technology enhancements
  • Balance the investment plan for the overall portfolio, including funding allocation and rebalancing, to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities, as well as compliance and regulatory requirements across all lines of business
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of digital projects within retail banking, including compliance and regulatory initiatives, and maintain oversight of digital initiatives from the other business lines to ensure a single WPB portfolio view
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize digital initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and strategic alignment across all lines of business
  • Make trade-off decisions based on immediate business needs while also delivering the long-term business strategy, understanding the importance of agility and adaptability in an extremely dynamic market
  • Develop and execute reporting and communication strategy for the overall portfolio, ensuring transparent status reporting, with risks, issues, dependencies, etc. clearly flagged and escalated as required
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure successful delivery of digital solutions adhering to the HSBC change framework, quality standards and timelines
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) within each business line to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct regular reviews and monitoring of business case outcomes to ensure capabilities are fully commercialized, ROI is achieved, intervening as required to enhance customer and financial outcomes
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes within retail banking, wealth management, insurance, and asset management to inform digital strategy and decision-making
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of digital project managers and analysts across retail banking, wealth management, insurance, and asset management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in digital portfolio management, preferably within the retail banking or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, such as mobile banking, online platforms, AI, and data analytics
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale digital projects and initiatives within the financial services industry
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable digital strategies
  • Ability to make trade-off decisions based on immediate needs while maintaining a long-term strategic vision
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, Six Sigma) are a plus
