ERA provides assurance over the effectiveness of the Firm’s design and implementation of systems and approaches for identifying, managing, monitoring, measuring, and reporting on the core risk and compliance activities governed by the Risk & Compliance function. ERA conducts reviews / continuous testing of the design and operating effectiveness of risk and compliance frameworks to pro-actively identify value-add solutions that optimize effectiveness and sustainability.
ERA is seeking a manager (Senior Vice President) to lead the ERA team in Poland. This role is HYBRID and the office is located in Wrocław, Poland.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Lead the ERA team and provide local manager support to the EWRM individual contributors in Poland
Apply subject matter expertise, industry experience and familiarity with the organization to determine priorities and review scope for the annual review plan
Oversee team’s execution of the annual review plan and issue validation to ensure timely, accurate and comprehensive execution of these processes
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with review stakeholders, team members, management, and others in the organization
Partner with the Head of ERA to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or controls of the risk & compliance functions and appropriate 1st line and 3rd line partners
Recruit, direct, motivate and develop professional staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team
Assist with the identification and development of talent to ensure appropriate succession planning
Provide guidance, review, and direction to team members

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

Effective interpersonal skills to build relationships, negotiate agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders, senior management, and team members

Understanding of non-/financial risks and banking industry
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
8-10 years of total work experience, with 3-5 years of management experience
Consultancy and/or research type of experience is a plus
