VISUAL MERCHANDISER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, visual communications, spatial design, interior design, retail management, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a visual merchandiser or visual manager.
- Previous work experience with fixture or merchandising vendors, considered an asset.
- Comprehensive portfolio of relevant visual design work.
- Experienced at using Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or other visual design tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Prior experience with beauty, wellness, fashion, or a related field considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency with 3D modelling or visualization considered and asset; SketchUp, Solidworks, or similar.
- Working knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices.
- Ability to analyze sales merchandising reports and survey results.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are looking for an innovative, highly creative, experienced visual merchandiser designer to lead in generating sales through creative design of leading beauty retail displays that capture buyers’ attention, with the goal of providing an engaging in-store experience and excellent brand experience. You will employ brand visual merchandising principles and retailer best practices to convert window shoppers into prospects by driving branding and sales objectives to maximize profitability.
To be successful as a senior visual merchandise designer you must ensure our brand vision for in-store’s visual appearance is executed and maintained to the highest standard, always.
Please note: This is a 1 year contract (Mat Leave)
VISUAL MERCHANDISER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating and implementing a visual merchandising strategy for existing and new products for global retail partners specific to fixture, space and longevity requirements.
- Ensuring the brand image and strategy is in line with Nudestix vision, product assortment, target market and retailer specifications.
- Leading creative design of visual displays & printed fixture assets that meet the store’s visual design requirements.
- Working with global merchandising manufacturing partners, timely briefings, finalizing designs and creating detailed planograms and floor plans to meet global in-store launches.
- Sourcing the props, creative materials, and accessories for temporary animations, press events, pop-ups and trade shows.
- Ensuring uniformity of displays across multiple store locations.
- Liaising with brand creative, sales and marketing teams; as well as with other retail professionals, including buyers, marketing executives, and retail merchandisers, when necessary.
- Monitoring costs and working within budget.
- Researching in-store, lifestyle and design trends that will inform the visual merchandising strategy.
- Prepare and maintain project status report and oversee weekly meetings with multiple departments and vendors.
- Maintain relationship with stakeholders to continuously promote the brand.
- Lead direct report in VM task management, project timelines and professional growth
