Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.
Asset Services are looking for a experienced Senior Well Engineer & Staff/Principal Well Engineer to join the Drilling, Frac & Completions team based in Brisbane.
Both roles offer excellent career development and the chance to be a key contributor to an expanding team. The role is responsible for delivering completion and fracture stimulation scopes of work including designs and programs, delivering the technical and operational work required to execute wells in Origin’s APLNG project. This role is primarily office based, although field trips are expected.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPEREINCE:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Registry on the Register for Professional Engineers Queensland (RPEQ) (Required for Senior Engineer)
• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience (Senior Well Engineer)
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience (Staff Well Engineer)
• Valid IWCF supervisory well control certification
• Demonstrated research and report writing abilities
• Proven record of delivering in large scale upstream projects.
• Prior experience with Landmark and WellView software

• Driving HSE improvement across all D&C Queensland operations
• FEED for new technology and innovative processes
• Well design and compliance assurance through Origins well design and delivery process (WDDP)
• Operational program & change management preparation and review
• Interfacing with Origin well site representatives and contractors to execute well programs
• Interface with Assets to progress development packages of work
• Ensuring all well designs and operations comply with Origin standards and government regulations
• Contract Management to monitor and drive safety, performance and cost within D&C scope
• Facilitating and driving the delivery of value improvement initiatives
• Technical mentoring and support of junior engineers
