Description:
- Utilise your Human Resources expertise to provide support and advice to the Employee and Workplace Relations branch
- A Fixed-Term, Flexible opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service until 4th April 2025
- VPS Grade 5: $106,534 - $128,897 plus superannuation.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- A tertiary qualification in industrial relations, human resources, employment law or a related discipline and/or specialist experience in a similar environment is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced workplace relations specialists to join our workplace relations team. The position incumbent will be responsible for working across an extensive range of employment matters in an exciting and dynamic organisation. The role responsibilities include providing consultancy advice on complex human resource issues, supporting departmental managers and human resource business partners in resolving individual employee case management issues and contributing to the improvement of human resource practice across the department.
SOME OF YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Identifying, developing and implementing innovative case management solutions that support departmental strategy across a range of people management, employee and industrial relations issues that focus on understanding stakeholders needs
- Providing specialist, strategic and innovative advice and coaching support to senior management on complex and sensitive people management issues in accordance with the Public Administration Act 2004, the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2020
- Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative people management practices across the department and industrial relations practices across the wider Justice portfolio.

About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- High level experience in case managing a broad range of human resource issues, with specialist knowledge of employee relations
- Significant experience in the provision of high-level advice to deliver successful employee relations outcomes, preferably within a government workplace
- A specialist understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to the Victorian Public Service, including the Public Administration Act 2004, the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2020
