Personal Companion Assistant is a genuine and sincere caregiver wanted to assist in providing families loved one’s support to better their quality of life.
Personal Companion Assisant duties are not limited to those listed as the position has a wide scope of duties at times dependent on the client’s needs.
Personal Companion Assistant will mostly work independently of co-workers or supervisors and therefore must balance good judgement and initiatives that align with our corporate policies, procedures, and corporateorate values.

Essential Functions:

• Physical Activity
• Provide companionship (Mental Stimulation, socialize, play games, watch and discuss TV shows etc.)
• Relaxation
• Meal preparation
• Assist with shopping, driving, running errands, appointments
• Perform light housekeeping activities
• Assist with reminder of medications
• This position may require various shift times (including nights, weekends) in one or more work site

Qualifications

• Italian Speaking
• High school graduate or equivalent or equivalent certificate
• Compassionate, optimistic, patient and caring nature
• Dimentia Care training and experience is an asset
• Experience as a Homemaker/Companion (in homs or facilities) is an asset
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Associate Membership with OPSWA
• 3 Covid Vaccinations
• Up to Date Immunization Records including 2 Step TB Test
• Current certificate in First Aid and CPR
• Valid Driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and listening skills
