JOB DESCRIPTION

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional supervisor Sr. Logistics Project Manager within the Product Support Team for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force’s acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, known as the Sentinel ICBM Program.
The Sentinel Program (formerly GBSD) is an enormous and complex “Mega-Project” that is modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across tens of thousands of square miles in five states. Without a doubt, Sentinel is one of the Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment or replacement of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system (including an updated airborne launch capability) as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. Sentinel is one of the DoD’s newest official “programs of record,” having recently achieved Acquisitions Milestone B and enjoys broad, strong support at the national level. It is a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to deploy over a nine-year period beginning in 2026 and remaining operational until at least 2075. Sentinel is a career defining program that will present unique and challenging opportunities that are simply not available with smaller projects.
Job Description:
This position will directly support the Sentinel Program’s Product Support (PS) Team as the program prepares the path for a successful logistics, digital transformation, maintenance and planning, and sustainment roadmap during the acquisition and deployment of the entire weapon system. Duties will include providing expert acquisition advice and support to Sentinel leaders on all Product Support Elements (PSEs) and integration of efforts between the Air Force Command, government program office, prime contractor, and various government support agencies.
Specifically, this PS Team Member will be part of a cohesive and integrated team responsible for supporting weapon system acquisition, development, logistics, material and sustainment planning across all Weapon System systems and subsystems and planning for all product support element requirements. We are looking for an experienced Program Manager, people manager, and leader accountable to the Integration Support Contract’s (ISC) Sentinel Product Support Lead.
This team member will assist in the day-to-day operations of the PS Branch including program logistics and sustainment integration, status tracking, meeting support, cost control monitoring, and integrated master schedule (IMS) management. The position interacts with government customer staff and senior leaders in the Sentinel Program Office, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Headquarter Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command, the National Security Agency, U.S. Strategic Command, as well as other Sentinel team partners from Federally-Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs). This team member will also coordinate and integrate actions with other program/project managers, engineers, logisticians, modelers, testers, and external agencies.
Our team includes existing staff with extensive expertise in the current Minuteman III weapon system and actively participates in ongoing studies and assessments for this next generation ICBM system.
Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.
This position is only located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, due to special-access, classified working environment and is not conducive to regular “telework” schedules.
