Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Works closely with Architectural Promotional teams to drive specifications of Sentrigard Roofing Systems
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting specified jobs through selection process, lead referral and project completion (won or lost)
  • Assists in selection and training of preferred Sentrigard Contractor base
  • Works with Executive Leadership Team and Product Managers to develop, implement, and manage strategic Metal sales plans to meet the overall goals for the region. Provides input on vendor negotiations and reviews, assists with Metal acquisitions, negotiates customer rebate programs, and evaluates new lines as needed in the portfolio for the region.
  • Works with Executive Leadership Team on the commercialization of new product additions
  • Establishes Metal sales initiatives for the region to exceed annual sales and profit budgets, while working with GMs to develop action plans designed to meet and/exceed sales and profit goals. Monitors Metal sales performance scorecard and provides input.
  • Reviews all areas of Metal regional sales performance and makes suggestions to improve procedures and performance with local GMs.
  • Assists in recruiting, hiring, and training of Metal sales personnel; emphasizes continued professional development through training and sales programs and tools.
  • Ensures Metal sales network teams communicate on a regular and consistent basis; meets regularly with regional sales personnel to review company, customer, market, and competitive information; ensures appropriate information is communicated to the GMs, sales teams, and marketing staff.
  • Works with the VP of Marketing and Customer Programs to develop and maintain regional Metal customer relations programs; works with the Roofing Technical Team to grow Metal specifications, establishes schedule for timely and appropriate visits to branches and accounts; works with GMs to ensure timely responses to customer complaints.
  • Provides regular updates to senior management on performance of the regional sales initiatives.
  • Communicates and ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures; recommends changes and/or additions.
  • Promotes organization in the Metal industry, manufacturing, or trade associations, attending meetings, shows, and conventions, as requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • College degree preferred and 5+ years of distribution sales management experience with successful track record; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert in Metal product lines, well versed in selling agreements, customer service inside sales tactics, and value propositions.
  • Strong sales presentation; effective rapport-building and relationship skills; ability to take initiative; and manage sales team effectively in a multi-branch environment.
  • Experience selling/managing commercial & residential Metal products and programs and developing individual sales plans.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize computer-based sales and inventory management analysis programs; ability to maximize profit opportunities in a sales environment and comfortable with a team-focused approach.
