Responsibilities:

THE ROLE/PROFILE

Ocado is looking for an SEO Manager to join our Digital Marketing team to enhance Ocado’s SEO strategy, including technical SEO by partnering with Digital Marketing, Marketing, Trade, Product and Technology.
As the dedicated resource of this stream, you will own and drive forward the content, on-page and off-page SEO strategy to deliver against our SEO KPIs. You will work closely with our SEO agency to define content and keyword strategy, build the roadmap and manage its implementation whilst working closely with wider teams to deliver priority initiatives. You will have a passion for data, attention to detail, performance excellence, relentlessly pursue ‘the next big thing’ across your channel. Current knowledge of SEO best practices is an absolute must for this role and must work closely with the digital teams including PPC and Martech and with media owners agencies. Always be learning and sharing that learning across the business to make our SEO work harder for us.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop short term and long term SEO strategy. Build this into a highly effective playbook ensuring SEO is a key driver for business growth.
  • Lead planning, execution and analysis of SEO programs
  • Develop insights, analysis and actions on a regular basis.
  • Regular reporting on the performance of the work stream against SEO KPIs, as well as collation and sharing of user insights and SEO success stories
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies and partners. Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement SEO best practices.


    • Maintenance of Ocado existing content, initiative backlog and keyword tracking tools

    • Act as the SEO champion to build awareness of our function and activity. Developing best-in-class learning agenda by staying current on digital trends and influence innovation.


      • Continual improvement to process, documentation and ways of working

      • Remain up to date on SEO industry updates, guidelines, and technologies to maintain best practice across your work stream
