Due to our exponential growth, we are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to be an integral part of our SEO team.
We’re a growing company and this is a great opportunity for an SEO professional looking for the next step in their career.
We’re looking for an SEO Manager to manage and deliver SEO campaigns for Online Marketing Gurus SME clients, whilst overseeing a team of SEO Consultants. You will be supporting the Head of Department to train and develop staff and help improve delivery across a portfolio of clients, whilst also keeping your finger on the pulse with a set of Enterprise clients.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have approx. 3+ years of SEO experience, at least 3 years in digital marketing
  • You have approx. 3+ years experience in a managerial/team lead role
  • Management of a team of 3+ people
  • Knowledge of the key aspects of SEO or integrated marketing campaigns, as well as inbound of multi channel marketing concepts
  • Knowledge and application of SEO, and Web Analytics tools for data analysis (Basic & Advanced Analytics Certified)
  • Know how to provide findings and relevant recommendations upon all aspects of the OMG technical audit
  • Possess knowledge of how websites work both from a user perspective and from a search agent’s perspective
  • Ability to prioritise and self-manage tasks
  • Competency in soft-skills, including, but not limited to, project management, communication, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, objection handling
  • Has demonstrated ability to manage projects to a budget & on time. When issues have arisen, proactively deal with them.
  • Has demonstrated ability to manage/mentor a team
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc

Responsibilities:

As a SEO Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage a team of 5 SEOs, creating their annual goals & proactively managing their Professional Development Plans
  • Regular team training on quick tips/tricks to engage & encourage efficient & effective SEO practices.
  • Maintain a high level of staff retention.
  • Quality checks on the team’s work, including (& not limited to) audits, strategies, project plans, content briefs, link briefs, reports, etc.
  • Ensure your own client work sets the standard.
  • Work with the team to monitor impact of SEO work, ensuring that key insights are fed back to Research & Development Team or to the Global Head of SEO
  • QA checks to ensure the team are managing their time & projects within budget & on time.
  • Ensure your own client work sets the standard, & any issues are proactively flagged with the Global Head of SEO
  • Maintain a high client retention rate across the team & own portfolio.
