What you will be working on
This is a hybrid execution and strategy role. The job holder will be part of a team of designers whose objective is to create a culture within the CPF Board that solves problems through research and design. The team does this by working with business users to redesign their frontend and backend service journeys, and developing standardised tools and methods to facilitate application on-the-job.

The broad area of responsibilities include

  • Drive problem-solving through design interventions, including planning, facilitation and execution.
  • Structure methods within the team and guide junior designers in planning, facilitation and execution of workshops and other design interventions.
  • Develop tools, guides and training to empower CPF Board staff to apply research, design and testing in day-to-day problem-solving.
  • Conduct research to understand customer needs, translate insights into concepts, and test ideas through prototyping.
  • Where applicable, work with vendors to achieve project outcomes.

What we are looking for

  • Prior experience in service design with proficiency in contemporary design tools, both physical and digital (such as Miro and Figma).
  • Experience in building capability in research and design within an organisation.
  • Possesses an owner’s mindset and demonstrates initiative to drive initiatives forward.
  • Prior experience working on complex projects within financial institutions, service delivery entities, or leading consultancies.
  • Experience in designing for both digital and analog services.
  • Good in designing and conducting discovery and ideation workshops with stakeholders to facilitate the design process effectively.
  • Skilled in utilising diverse research methods and synthesising insights and data to drive informed design decisions.
  • Ability to communicate design concepts, decisions, and trade-offs compellingly to stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to secure buy-in.
  • Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders, valuing diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
  • Ability to provide research and design guidance to the team and developing strategies to integrate research and design into day-to-day problem-solving.

The successful candidate will hold the corporate title of Manager/Senior Manager/Assistant Director, with seniority based on individual work experiences.

  • Position is on a 1-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with an option to renew, contingent upon confirmation and subject to organisational needs. Additionally, there is potential for emplacement into a permanent position
