Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Service Technician will serve as a liaison between the customer and the Service Supervisor/Manager and will be responsible for organizing and controlling the preparation and execution of electrical service work to meet company objectives of cost, quality, and equipment conservation.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Plan, organize, supervise, and direct the work of the crew.
  • Monitor and document the progress of the assigned electrical work including the quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Required to perform electrical installation and maintenance work.
  • Maintain the service vehicle in a clean and orderly manner, as well as ensure that service and repair is performed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the work to ensure that the service request is completed in accordance with local and NEC requirements.
  • Establish relationships with the clients and obtain acceptance and approval of completed work.
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, equipment, etc. as required.
  • Responsible for adhering to job safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations and established Tri-City Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the area where service work is performed is properly restored to normal and clean conditions when the work is complete.
  • Order materials and request manpower as needed, as well as monitor, track, and approve employee work time as necessary.
  • Participate in emergency service duty on a rotating basis.
  • Attend job scheduling and coordination meetings.Responsible for schedule adjustments as necessary to ensure satisfactory support and completion of all projects and customer commitments.
