  • Previous mechanical experience
  • NVQ3 or suitable Apprenticeship.
  • Good working knowledge of EHSQ.
  • Time Management.
  • UK driving license.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

To our depot based in Plymouth we are looking for a person with previous mechanical experience to service and repair our equipment in the depot or on customer’s site.

AS A SERVICE ENGINEER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Equipment Maintenance and Repairs

  • Assisting in servicing plant equipment, especially pumps, within the depot.
  • Carrying out major repairs on equipment deemed too intensive for standard depot procedures.
  • Refurbishing end-of-life equipment to bring it back to an as-new condition.

Logistics and daily activities in the depot

  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of pumps and generators onto delivery lorries using Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck.
  • Ensuring all equipment is serviced and maintained to a high standard.
  • Reporting any major problems within the equipment to the Foreman/Depot Supervisor.

Health & Safety / Compliance & Ethics

  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures within the workshop environment.
  • Being fully conversant and compliant with all environmental health and safety procedures.
  • Being fully comply with all quality, environmental health, and safety directives, including PPE, accident reporting, cardinal rules, risk assessment method statement (RAMS), and Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE).
