Job Description
Providing support for Dry Gas Seal refurbishment and in-house and on-site installation
Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities -

  • Conduct Dry Gas Seal inspection and prepare inspection reports.
  • Local and Overseas site support for Dry Gas Seal Replacement and troubleshooting.
  • Generate and keep track record of all incoming and outgoing seals.
  • To carry out Dry Gas Seal disassembly, cleaning of seal components and re-assembly.
  • To perform balancing of seal rotor and perform refurbishment activities of seals.
  • To assist set up of test cell and conduct the dynamic testing of seals.
  • To Maintain and update the test cell inventory, fixtures, and parts.
  • To prepare seals with appropriate packaging / test log sheet / shipping documents.
  • To maintain safe work record and friendly relationship with colleagues.
  • Comply Smiths policy.
  • Any other related tasks assigned from time to time.

The Individual

Skills & Experience -

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or rotating equipment industry ( Pump / Compressor).
  • Preferred rotating equipment knowledge.
  • Fresher with Full time Mechanical Engineering ( Degree/ Diploma)
  • Ability to read technical drawings is essential.
  • Rotating Equipment maintenance / operation knowledge.
  • The ideal background would be someone skilled in fine measurements.
  • Assembly /Test experience in Gas Seals would be an advantage.
  • Basic IT skill - MS office
  • Good understanding of Continuous Improvement and associated tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customer in both written and spoken English.
  • High level of drive and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ownership, responsible, patient
