Service Engineer (m/f/d)
The Service Engineer is responsible for performing on-site field maintenance and demand service jobs for Valmet Maxum Process Gas Chromatographs. This includes preventive maintenance, start-up and commissioning of new analyzers as well as corrective maintenance / trouble shooting. You will be visiting customers in The Netherlands, and occasionally in neighboring regions.

What are you going to do

  • Startup, Commissioning, Maintaining, Troubleshooting and repairing of complex analytical systems.
  • Selecting parts, drawings and additional information needed to perform the service job to the highest level of availability.
  • Answering technical customer questions, troubleshooting over the phone, offering solutions, and support to the customer when necessary.
  • Providing guidance to colleague field service technicians. Working as a team to provide the highest level of support and ensure skill sharing with other technicians.
  • Providing hands-on training and instruction
  • Continuous skill growth and improvement to stay current with products and technologies.
  • Working with Research and Development to ensure the factory is aware of field issues or successes.

We ask

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, process engineering or chemical engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Process Gas Chromatographs, Sample Conditioning Systems and active within the Chemical and Refining Industries.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of Process Gas Chromatographs, Sample Conditioning Systems and System Integration, including alarming and safety systems, electrical wiring, digital networking and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining good customer relationships.
  • Very good German and English spoken and written.
