BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000

  JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Multi-skilled, PLC Controls, PPMA
  This is a field based, Service / Maintenance engineer vacancy – working on capital industrial equipment and food processing machinery projects for the food and confectionery sector. Average service jobs are 2 days away from home. (2-4 days away per week is typical across the UK and sometimes abroad)
  You will be splitting your time between scheduled maintenance and reactionary service at sites across the UK and occasionally beyond – and our workshop in Rochdale – you’ll be working on high value capital equipment projects for prestigious clients in the food manufacturing sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Multi-skilled, PLC Controls, PPMA

• Scheduled multi skilled engineering for maintenance and service of £1m+ capital equipment projects in the food and confectionery sectors.
• Roughly 25% reactionary service work. 24 – 48 hours to get an Engineer on site is typical.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer – Multi-skilled, PLC Controls, PPMA

• Multi skilled (electrical bias preferred) Engineer with an open mind on sector experience.
• You will have some exposure to PLC’s. You don’t need to be able to code from scratch, but you’ll be happy fault finding and amending programs.
• Staying away is a significant part of this role. Up to 50% of your work time will be working on scheduled projects across the UK and abroad. This has to fit in with your lifestyle.

Any exposure to industrial capital equipment, or process and packaging machinery in the food & drink or pharmaceutical sectors would be an obvious advantage, but we’re open to people from any sector with good electro-mechanical skills and understanding of PLCs.
