Te Toka Tumai Auckland have a clinical leadership model placing the clinical service leaders at the heart of service and strategic decision making. The aim is to place accountability as close to the service users as possible with a focus on clinical quality, safety and health outcomes whilst delivering economic sustainability.
We have an opportunity to lead our immunology Service. We are looking for a suitably experienced senior clinician (nursing or medicine) to provide clinical leadership and effective management to the clinical team.
As the Service Lead Clinician, you will:
- Oversee and uphold clinical quality and safety within the service.
- Safeguard high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish and develop in line with the vision for the directorate
- Provide leadership and management of the service’s clinical workforce fostering appropriate succession planning, excellence in practice standards and professional conduct
- Provide active clinical and cultural leadership, effectively managing service performance and facilitating productivity enhancements.
- Undertake project management responsibilities assigned by the Director of Community and Long-Term Conditions.
The particular clinical responsibilities allocated to this role will be dependent on the clinical background and experience of the successful applicant. These will be agreed with a successful applicant prior to appointment.

You must be clinically qualified in a relevant field of practice and registered in New Zealand (or eligible for registration) and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Expertise in leading multi- disciplinary health teams working across different healthcare settings to provide cultural and social support to patients and their whānau will be highly advantageous.
