Description:

We have an opportunity for a full time Service Manager post within the Forensic Community services at the Humber Centre.
The Community Forensic Service Manager will oversee a range of forensic community services including Adult and Child Forensic Mental Health Services. Services work across the Humberside region and include subcontracted teams in North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. These services are designed to support individuals who are transitioning from secure settings back into the community. The teams also provide a consultation and assessment service to support community mental health teams and youth justice services. The service manager will support the delivery of contracts and collaborate with stakeholders and partner providers including inpatient forensic services and commissioners.
The post holder will work closely with the Community Clinical Lead, providing Operational Management to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service. The community services are a fast developing area of provision in the forensic division. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven history of service development.

The service manager is responsible for the development and delivery of high standard clinical services by providing strong, effective leadership and management to specified services and teams.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership
Provide operational line management and supervision to allocated staff
Develop and maintain effective systems across the service to enhance efficiency
Ensure staff receive annual performance appraisals aligned with the Trust’s policy and strategy
Strategic Planning and Quality Improvement
Participate in and lead Quality Improvement initiatives
Facilitate a culture of learning and development
Work closely with stakeholders and subcontracted teams to address any gaps in service provision.
To lead and participate in regional service development
Financial Management
Manage the financial resources of the service
Work within financial constraints whilst achieving cost efficiency savings
Prioritise clinical and cost effectiveness
Collaboration
Work closely with inpatient forensic services to ensure smooth transitions for service users
Work in partnership with all community mental health providers
