Description:
Responsible for the development and implementation of LDA enhanced support and liaison services, ensuring safe and best practice, and NICE guidance, is incorporated and embedded. Assist the divisional Business Manager in the analysis of service specific data and understand the impact of information on performance. Support the Divisional Manager and Head of LDA in developing the service and participate in management meetings and discussion. In collaboration with the Divisional Leadership Team and Head of LDA implement agreed service changes to meet IBP.
Ensure that service users are involved and listened to in shaping service delivery. Ensure the effective deployment of staff, taking account of patient experience, safety and clinical effectiveness, using resources effectively without compromising quality of care. Demonstrate and promote effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team building and working. Responsible for range of complex activities in the delivery of services and will need to ensure an effective strategy is in place to ensure high quality care e.g.
workforce planning, effective use of resources. Provide direct line management supervision to the clinical staff. Implement strategic decisions into operational practice. Provide clinical supervision for some clinicians of same disciplines.
Ensure the purpose, vision and values of the trust are embedded throughout the service. Ensure delivery of Key Performance Indicators. Produce timely and accurate contract reports. Oversee budget and manage resources ensuring efficiency savings are appropriate and properly quality assured.
To manage conflicts arising between advice given or recommendations and partner organisations priorities and to promote co-operation. To provide expert and highly specialist clinical advice to committees/ projects/ working groups of the Trust and multi-agency committees, as required. To represent the service and Trust in relationships with other agencies and care providers. To participate in the on call rota.
Work closely and in collaboration with agencies, both statutory and 3rd sector to achieve effective communication, liaison, joint working and cooperation to deliver a high quality service. Provide Operational Leadership and support the effective performance of the service, highlighting and escalating issues in a timely manner, where necessary, when they arise. Responsible for the overall day to day operational management and performance of the service. Ensure all appropriate information is inputted or collected within agreed Trust timescales
