Description:
We would like to recruit a skilled and experienced manager for our MSK and Patient Contact Centre Services. The successful candidate is likely to have demonstrable experience in improvement plans, together with a strong outcomes focus. It would be helpful if you had recent experience of delivering a quality improvement programme and project management skills. A health background is desirable but not essential, it is more important that you have great communication and organisational skills and a strong desire to work collaboratively with our clinical workforce and leadership team to deliver sustainable results. The role will also bring opportunities to work at system level and participate in specific projects with our health partners in Northamptonshire to develop strong MSK pathways within the county.
To be responsible for operational performance indicators including contractual, financial, quality and safety and people, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met for MSK & Hand Therapy. Supporting the Head of Service and Professional Lead to devise service plans to ensure effective delivery of services and advise on the operational impact of service development.
The post holder will support the operational, performance and business management of MSK physiotherapy and hand therapy as well as the Patient Contact Centre. The post holder will work under the direction and line management of the Head of Service with support from the Professional Lead.
Overall management responsibility for service delivery and operational matters for the MSK Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy and Patient Contact Centre.
Build robust reporting processes and ensure that teams are involved in development & delivery of service improvement plans.
Lead the development of integrated pathways for patients needing physiotherapy and hand therapy.
Take a lead role in the development and reorganisation of teams when required.
Improve and develop the agreed service model, developing clinical structures, recruiting staff, and operationalising the service.
Assist with the continual modernisation and redesign of physiotherapy and hand therapy, in line with National and Local initiatives, leading on agreed projects across the county.
Develop robust interagency relationships with key agencies supporting the development of integrated care pathways.
To develop and implement integrated working between community teams, specifically enhancing pathways for patients and carers whose pathway involves more than one community team.
To ensure Service Users and Carers are included in all the work physiotherapy and hand therapy services do.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly and will be part of the “on call” and “out of hours” arrangements for the Trust.
To provide leadership holding responsibility for operational delivery of service outcomes.
Provide leadership and manage the talent pool across services and build on existing retention & recruitment plans.
