Your new role

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of the assigned CTP claims unit and provides advice to team on claims management, policy guidelines and quality
  • Initiate new ideas and concepts to support the development and delivery of the business plan for the business unit.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of claims management strategies and objectives
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with both statutory and corporate service standards and statutory regulations
  • Continuous business process improvement including process and cost efficiencies/synergies
  • Setting reserves and authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner, and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements
  • Handling of complaints and investigations of suspicious/fraudulent insurance claims
  • Provide technical expertise and mentoring to assist the team development

About you

  • Must have General Insurance claims experience (CTP/Workers Compensation experience preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A natural relationship builder with solid negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, you take pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience and can maintain these levels of excellence through times of change, demonstrating resilience.
  • Be an experienced leader with a passion to engage, motivate and develop others
