Description:
In recent times it has become more important than ever for both service users and the general public to be able to access support and advice on
their mental health over the telephone, whenever they need it.
The Sussex Mental health line provides a single point of contact for individuals in mental health crisis within Sussex over 24 hrs.
The team is structure includes B4 call operators, B6 Urgent care practitioners, B7 Clinical leads and Team leaders.
Since 2020 the demand for the Sussex Mental Health line has increased and we have expanded the team as a result, providing a vital service to
those in distress and crisis throughout Sussex, across all ages.
We currently are seeking interest for a B8a service manager
This is a great opportunity for a current B7 who wishes to further develop their skills or B8a who wishes to expand their service knowledge base.
The service is ever evolving to meet this demand and we would actively welcome individuals who are interested in leading the service through
change.
The successful candidate will provide managerial responsibility to two team leads and the clinical leads to ensure quality and safe service
delivery.
The role requires excellent communication skills and an ability to prioritise competing demands and as well as a commitment to working
collaboratively to improve the quality of interventions and care pathways available to people in crisis, their carer’s and wider networks.
The post will require the candidate to be able to travel across Sussex and work onsite from both Worthing and other sites soon to be identified.

There is an on call requirement for all B8a posts within SPFT.
The successful candidate will be supported by the General Manager for Urgent Care services and will be joining an experienced senior leadership
team within Brighton and Hove care and delivery service (CDS).
The post holder will have a personal development plan that focuses upon their own key areas of strengths and development, including what
support and opportunities are needed to further progress within this area of mental health service.
The post holder is responsible for the urgent care service within Brighton and Hove.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality services through the management and deployment of both health and social
services resources within a defined budget.
Participate in the development of the Divisional Leadership Team and facilitate clinicians/ practitioners to become involved in service planning and
decision making.
Ensure recommendations from Serious Untoward Incidents (SUIs), near misses, complaints and other incidents are implemented.
Will lead on designated projects
