Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a flexible and adaptable individual with excellent organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills to join our established administrative team.
The role of Service Support and Operations Officer is a front-facing administrative role within the University of Sheffield’s Student Mental Health, Counselling & Therapies Service. You will be responsible for supporting our Wellbeing Service and Mental Health Guidance and Liaison Desk, including developing processes and service delivery.
Whilst you will work closely within the established administrative team, it is important that you are able to work autonomously with a high level of accountability. Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills are essential to complement the clinical governance provided by the clinical staff. The role requires a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and organisational competence, along with an empathetic approach when dealing with distressed clients. Multi-tasking is a key skill required for this role, balancing being a key contact for the services with developing and delivering core administration processes.
The position is primarily designed to support our clinical professional staff and requires resilience and diligence to provide an effective and efficient support service.
