ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Service Technician to join our growing Service Team. This is a full-time position is currently based out of our Newmarket location (conveniently located at Hwy 404 & Davis Dr.) This position will be relocated to a brand new facility in Keswick (Woodbine Ave & Hwy 404) in the upcoming months.
SKILLS:
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
- Proficient with shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of commercial grass cutting, or other engine powered maintenance equipment would be considered an asset.
- Attention to detail and dependability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the repair of gasoline and diesel engines an asset
- Experience with turf equipment would be considered an asset.
- Ability to Read Service Manuals, Electrical and Hydraulic schematics an asset.
- Some experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid Certificate of Qualification in small engines, automotive service, or similar considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment functionality by performing lube, oil, filter, and tire changes, as well as painting and grinding.
- Set up New Turf and Golf Equipment following Service Manual instructions and following internal PDI Process’s
- Will assist with and be trained on how to correct equipment deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, dissembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulation publications.
- Keep shop equipment operational by following instructions and assisting with troubleshooting breakdowns.
- Assist with various shop duties as required daily.
