Job Summary
Consulting activities
Represent project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes.
Consult stakeholders to align the business case, analyze current and future state, identify gaps by understanding high-level requirements and product capabilities.
Support all project activites, e.g. project managment, change management, training, testing, collaboration between different teams by identifying their needs and providing the appropriate information and enabling their decision making during all implementation phases.
Participate actively on regular meetings (e.g. Scrum events)
Promote understanding within the team and across teams to support collaboration, eliminate risks.
Analytical activities
Perform appropriate analyst acitvities independently based on stakeholder and/or project demands, e.g. stakeholder analysis, requirements analysis, GAP analysis, process analysis, data analysis by choosing the fitting analytical tools and communication methods. Share the final results in a structured, understandable format.
Documentation
Collect requirements in a well-structured documentation base.
Write stories with additional details which capture the requirements.
Create new stories or refine/change existing ones.
Keep all the documentations up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting
Owns the relationship with project stakeholders and members.
Offer consultancy by being an expert in the required ITSM process.
Able to express complex technical concepts effectively verbally and in writing to professionals from different technical backgrounds.
Prepare and give workshops, demos or trainings.
Present results and recommendations based on the performed business analysis.
Consult technical and non-technical participants to create a shared understanding of business value and requirements.
Promote visibility and shared understanding within the team and across teams.
Propose optimalizations and solutions based on your expertise and analysis activity.
Support other project related processes, e.g. change, release, testing, training.
Reach agreement between conflicting points of views by providing the required information.
Identify and communicate dependencies, risks or deviations to the affected stakeholders.
Analysis and documentation
Familiar with the business analysis techniques and tools
Perform the required analysis and use the fitting visualization and documentation tools.
Create and maintain a well-structured documentation base.
Collect and keep the requirements up to date.
Research and identify areas for improvement.
Write stories with additional details which capture the requirements.
Knowledge
Familiar and able to use with ITIL principles.
Understand and able to adapt different project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban)
Experience and/or usable knowledge of different ITSM processes (Knowledge- Incident, Problem and Change Management, Request fulfilment)
Familiar with application development phases, environments, roles and responsibilities
