    Technology is an inherent part of enabling the Reserve Bank of Australia’s policy and operational objectives. With the country depending upon our systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with Australia’s most critical core banking and payments platforms.
    Your team
    Within the Information Technology (IT) department, you will be part of the IT Service Management team actively working across BAU rollouts, to transform and develop the core IT functions that support the Reserve Bank’s policy, operational and corporate objectives.
    Reporting to the Platform Manager, IT Service Management, and working closely with other Analysts, this is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of a high performing team, working alongside experienced people who are passionate about protecting the security and stability of our technology estate.

Key tasks of this role are to:

  • Develop and support effective application systems to support the Bank’s business
  • Provide technical expertise in digital, automation and collaboration services technologies to provide solutions in line with the proposed architecture and designs in the ServiceNow Platform
  • Ensure that system development standards are maintained according to ServiceNow best practices
  • Configure, code and script applications based on business requirements to facilitate roll out of new functionality, interfaces, modules and catalogue requests
  • Experience in managing the configuration of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), developing workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies
  • Support the deployment into QA and Production environments by planning and executing unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure changes behaves as designed.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support: Assist users and teams in understanding and effectively using ServiceNow solutions.

Your background
Our Information Technology Department are looking for a seasoned ServiceNow Developer to provide specialised ServiceNow development skills for the implementation of digital technology solutions.

To be successful in this critical role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as well as ITIL v3
  • Demonstrated experience working with ServiceNow technologies and related peripheral technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in Digital Automation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse information and find solutions
  • Be an energetic strategic thinker who has considerable attention to detail
  • Have a curious and accountable mindset
  • A flexible attitude to working irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Understanding of ITAM best practices
  • Relevant degree qualifications
