Overview of the Role or Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for the facility maintenance, ammonia, compressed air, steam, boilers, water treatment, and effluent treatment plant operations.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Perform all maintenance functions within the Plant, refrigeration and auxiliary equipment, pumps, motors, high pressure steam plant, etc.;
  • Operate all plant refrigeration and heating systems
  • Preventative Maintenance on related equipment;
  • Complete all required documentation (work orders, log books, etc.);
  • Comply with GMP, HACCP, and BRC practices;
  • Comply with TSSA requirements and Operating Engineers act;
  • Other maintenance/duties as required.

You are best suited for the role if you:

  • Minimum Third Class Power Engineering or Class B refrigeration;
  • College/University degree in related field is an asset;
  • Current knowledge in PMP, SOP, HACCP and GMP procedures;
  • Minimum Three years of operating and ammonia plant maintenance experience;
  • Extensive hands-on experience in manufacturing environment, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, service and field operations of various auxiliary equipment – air compressors, water treatment plants, etc.;
  • HVAC knowledge and experience;
  • Power control, electrical and mechanical skills;
  • Familiar PLC, operation and troubleshooting;
  • Familiar with fire suppression and building security system;
  • Must be willing and able to work shift work and across shifts, including weekends;
  • Must be willing to work from heights
  • Proven communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to maintain accurate written records and documentation;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency and dependability in current position.
