Description:

Role Description
This is a role is a quality related processes including new products and serial production products, tooling, testing, auditing, problem resolution, improvements to ensure meeting requirements of all relevant stakeholders. This role has close working relationship with internal stakeholders across a wide variety of disciplines, so the role holder must be able to build and foster effective working relationships at all levels.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Regular quality checks on products based on risk-approached pre-determined frequency and current business needs for new products and serial production products. (including patrol checks: examination of product to ensure conformance to master sample/first off and performance check as applicable and reporting).
  • Process and product verification and validation activities based on international standards, customer specific requirements and business management system objectives (including: Production Start-up/End/Change sign off).
  • Perform technical inspections against specification for new products and serial production products. Prepare inputs for process and product documentation. Support APQP tasks, safe launch, and other activities from quality perspective.
  • Completion of regular process inspections, tests and audits, challenging process failures and weaknesses.
  • Provide support to production, engineering, tooling, operations, and other relevant stakeholders to meet requirements.
  • Act as the first line contact for all department process related queries within the company (including: conduct “Back Tracks” to identify non-conforming parts, raise rejects, concession, quality alerts).
  • Support quality problem resolution through systematic investigation of the specific processes, applying investigation & improvement methods.
  • Assist with internal and external non-conformance management including implementation of containment actions, determination of root cause, and implementation of corrective / preventative actions. Assist in preparation of 8D reports.
  • Assist with creation of work instructions, control plans, test plans, process flows and other process quality documents and supporting implementations into production team.
  • Assist with ongoing SPC, MSA and other continuous improvement activities, supporting implementation of process changes and recommendations.
  • Upskill and train various teams on quality procedures and ensure compliance to best practices within the production environment.
  • Provide clear, thorough and concise internal communication of issues through the generation of reports, emails, meetings, briefings, and presentations.
  • Support other quality functions within HT Manchester team during all relevant activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of injection moulding process and tooling manufacturing process.
  • Experienced working in a manufacturing environment working in a safe and effective manner.
  • Previous quality assurance experience and demonstrated use of quality tools/methodology, including problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience in writing process documentation including Works Instructions, Quality Control Plans, and relevant quality documentation.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of automotive core tools and quality standards.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines in a timely and effective manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a creative attitude and proactive nature.
  • PC skills & experience in the use of MS Office.
  • Good written and oral communication skills

SUMMARY
