Description:

Due to the Security Clearance required for this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES:

  • Diploma in Project Management or 10 years’ experience in project management role.
  • Diploma Engineering, Marine Engineering qualification, Trade or extensive experience in mining or defence asset project management
  • Experience in the marine industry, ideally within a Project Management or Project Supervision role.
  • Exceptional people management and leadership skills.
  • Superior time-management skills & understanding of resource planning, schedule development & budgets.
  • Demonstrate high safety standards and an understanding of workplace hazards and safety risks IAW requisite state acts and legislation.
  • An understanding of Classification Requirements and maritime legislation.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite)
  • White Card

Responsibilities:

Manage the Planned Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance for service visits and depot maintenance activities, while maintaining the vessel within Class standards. You will be leading a small team of Waterfront Supervisors.

  • Manage project pre-planning, develop, schedules and execution strategies by engaging with contractors and communicating project scope.
  • Liaise with the client on priorities and acceptable timeframes for all planned and emergent works undertaken within projects.
  • Manage delivery of maintenance activities by achieving project milestones and mitigating schedule risks, while working to an allocated budget.
  • Contribute to identifying improvement opportunities and lessons learnt to the Project and the broader business.
  • Drive a strong culture of HSE compliance and adherence to quality standards.
