MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum high school diploma
  • Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
  • Experience in a distribution center/warehouse/manufacture environment is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to be a team player and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory and manage shipments.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to challenge processes and seek out process improvements or creative ways of completing tasks.
  • Understanding of supply chain operations and logistics concepts
  • Proficient in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exhibit flexibility/adaptability.

Responsibilities:

Duties generally include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with carriers and drivers.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of orders, supplies and materials within an DC and ensure that orders and products are shipped and received on schedule.
  • Prepare and process shipments efficiently, including documentation such as bills of lading.
  • Schedule pick-ups and deliveries in coordination with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Monitor shipment status for on-time delivery and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and billing information.
  • Analyze transportation data for optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Perform data entry for security sheet and other documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Health Canada regulations.
  • Address discrepancies and communicate updates to customers, carriers, and drivers.
  • Complete security protocols with drivers.
  • Communicate with relevant personnel to handle compromised products.
  • Be proficient in various warehouse tasks.
  • Adapt to different shifts and perform assigned tasks effectively.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are respected.
  • Ensure shipping doors are closed and secured when not in use to prevent temperature fluctuations and maintain security.
  • Communicate with supervisors and Regulatory Officer of any deviations that occur concerning established procedures and opportunities for improvements.
  • Keep work areas safe, organized, and clean.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety policies.
  • Other duties as directed by the Director of Operations.
