JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a skilled hands-on Shipwright Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in boat building, with a comprehensive understanding of construction, fabrication and fitting techniques, alongside strong leadership, and communication skills to manage a small team and guide them in a range of tasks. This is a fast-paced environment with a variety of projects to work on.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Build strong customer relationships with our key clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide advice and recommendations, including updates throughout each project.
  • Prepare quotes as required, ensuring any changes are managed to expectations.
  • Ensure all customer interactions and decisions are communicated throughout the organisation.
  • Communicate project plans ahead of time, to align to vessel schedules.
  • Organise work schedule for team, including subcontractors, ensuring the achievement of vessel timelines, targets, and budgets.
  • Foster a supportive and safety-conscious work environment for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and standards.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols and obligations in the workplace.
  • Document all activities accurately and manage paperwork processing.
