JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a skilled hands-on Shipwright Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in boat building, with a comprehensive understanding of construction, fabrication and fitting techniques, alongside strong leadership, and communication skills to manage a small team and guide them in a range of tasks. This is a fast-paced environment with a variety of projects to work on.
Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
- Build strong customer relationships with our key clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide advice and recommendations, including updates throughout each project.
- Prepare quotes as required, ensuring any changes are managed to expectations.
- Ensure all customer interactions and decisions are communicated throughout the organisation.
- Communicate project plans ahead of time, to align to vessel schedules.
- Organise work schedule for team, including subcontractors, ensuring the achievement of vessel timelines, targets, and budgets.
- Foster a supportive and safety-conscious work environment for the team.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and standards.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols and obligations in the workplace.
- Document all activities accurately and manage paperwork processing.
