Shop Assistant

We have an opportunity for the position of Shop Assistant in our Grocery/Vegetable Store based in Auckland. We are looking for someone who is a confident, responsible person with a high attention for detail. This role requires you to be flexible with working hours which includes weekends, late evening shifts including public holidays. This is a full-time vacancy with us which allows you to work for minimum 30 hours to 45 hours from Monday to Sunday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.

• To be successful you must have at least a relevant diploma/certificate qualification or 3 years relevant industry work experience.
• Responsible for performing key tasks of the job delegated by the Manager.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build trust and loyalty
• Ensure the displays/shelves are appropriately stocked
• Work with a passionate team to reach sales targets
• Processing payments and keeping up to date with daily admin tasks, including general cleanliness and presentation of the store
• Maintaining high store performance
• Previous experience is preferable but not essential, proper training will be provided to the right candidate.
• A natural ability to build rapport with any customer and assist them during their visit
• Excellent interpersonal, and people management skills
• A proactive approach, motivation to achieve and improve continuously
• Clean criminal record and Zero tolerance to drugs at workplace.
• Be physically fit and healthy
• Willing to do late evening shifts
• Is able to do heavy lifting
