Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Forman to join our Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) team. The selected candidate will assist in providing sustainment support services (operational engineering and logistics support) globally for some 25,000 vehicles including the Army’s Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, or MRAPs.
Important Note: Selected candidates without an ACTIVE German/E.U. Work Visa will be required to work the first 90 days in a Temporary role while obtaining their Visa. Once an E.U. Work Visa is approved, then you will be offered a Full-Time German Contract. If accepted, then you will be subjected to paying German taxes, obtaining German Healthcare, and working within the guidelines of the German labor system.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferred.
  • Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.
  • Willingness to travel to hostile areas is desired.
  • Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements.
  • Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
  • Willingness to deploy to all/any of these locations, including Southwest Asia and South-Central Asia.
  • Some OCONUS deployments may be to risky hostile ("war zone") environments which earn larger bonuses.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a (DoD) Public Trust clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered.
  • 6+ years of qualified maintenance experience of which at least 4 years is experience with MRAP vehicles.
  • Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
  • Preferred areas of experience commercial or military shall be with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
  • Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
  • Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel. Preferred experience should include; simultaneous maintenance, modification and repair projects on a variety of maintenance actions, tasks or repairs.
  • Proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines to include basic computer skills and document preparation.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed.
  • Possession of a valid European or German driver’s license is required (OR) the ability to obtain a valid driving license before beginning employment
