UGL Regional Linx are looking for a passionate & enthusiastic Signaling Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years’ Signalling Experience
  • Cert 4 in Rail Signalling
  • Diploma in Signal Engineering
  • SOC Signal Field Engineer
  • Current Class 1 (Minimum) Driving Licence
  • Cat 1 Rail Medical – current or can be obtained

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Signal Maintenance Engineer conducts maintenance inspections across all areas of UGLRL as per the Technical Maintenance Plan. Technical support to Maintenance teams and Projects. Identify, Review and repair signalling faults. Signal engineers may need to support the commissioning of signalling systems and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Signalling infrastructure.
  • Assist in the management and updates of the Asset Database for all Signalling.
  • Assist in managing the day to day signalling operations to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Signalling infrastructure.
  • Ensure signalling maintenance for assigned area is completed to the required timeframes.
  • Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  • Carry out inspections as defined in the Signalling Standards across UGL Regional Linx.
  • Ensure all signalling failures are attended to and investigated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all NIRs are reported to HSE Teams within 24hr period.
  • Ensure specified frequencies, laid down programs, standards and practices are adhered to.
  • Give immediate attention to any report of a signalling or level crossing irregularity, derailment or accident, and carrying out a thorough examination to determine and rectify the cause. Assessing the risk of such an irregularity being repeated or occurring elsewhere and following up with actions to prevent such an occurrence.
  • Assist with the preparation and Development of the 3mwp (Annual Works)
  • Assist in scoping of works required in 3mwp
  • Interpret designs and concepts for implementation in construction projects.
