JOB DESCRIPTION
Background on Project:
New York City Emergency Management’s (NYCEM) Office of the Chief Equity and Diversity Officer is responsible for the management of and compliance of all EEO, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion over the last 10 years. Due to the nature of NYCEM’s work, these records could contain sensitive and/or confidential information. As such, a preliminary review of these documents is required for proper filing. Additionally, the Chief Equity and Diversity Officer requires administrative support for equal employment opportunity matters and “build out” filing system and facilitate hiring instruction meeting. Legal experience including handling sensitive topics is greatly preferred.
Description of Project/Responsibilities:
- The Office of The Chief Diversity Officer is seeking an individual, preferably with prior work in a legal or human resources background, to perform the following: (i) identify or handle sensitive and confidential information; (ii) provide administrative support to agency partners, such as assisting in the preparation of CEDO presentations, creating templates in Word or Adobe Acrobat, performing data entry, copying, scanning, filing, calendaring appointments and other tasks; (iii) support equal employment opportunity record keeping efforts.
- Perform other tasks and assignments as directed.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
