Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possessing a minimum qualification of GCE O-Level or higher, complemented by at least five years of experience in ocean freight operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all freight and logistics product solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including experience with Tradenet.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both in writing and verbal communication.
  • Detail-oriented and precise, coupled with a positive outlook and the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with customers, international offices/agents, carriers, and other relevant entities.
  • Secure official quotes from Sales or international representatives.
  • Receive and verify pre-alerts from international offices, confirming vessel ETAs with carriers, or acknowledge arrival notices from Carriers and initiate shipment files.
  • Organize bookings with carriers based on customer instructions.
  • Dispatch instructions to vendors for container/cargo collection.
  • Coordinate fumigation, insurance coverage, or generate invoices and packing lists as required.
  • Prepare preliminary drafts of bills of lading, manifests, certificates of origin, and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements for import operations, including handling payment vouchers, processing payments, filing, and reporting.
  • Facilitate payments to carriers for the release of delivery orders.
  • Promptly communicate with customers regarding any cargo damage and obtain their written directives.
  • Manage counter or front desk operations for exchanging shipping documents.
  • Address customer inquiries via phone or email, providing updates on arrival statuses.
  • Guarantee timely issuance of purchase orders and invoice dispatch to customers.
  • Resolve any arising issues by engaging with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and validate vendor invoices, submitting them weekly to the Ocean Freight Manager for approval.
  • Assist in the declaration of non-trade permits.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required.
